MARC PEREZ
Co-President, Sirk Productions
Founding Partner

Marc is a graduate of New York University's Stern School of Business with majors in finance, marketing and economics. He has worked at Republic National Bank in the Precious Metals Trading Department, handling over 300 million dollars in gold and silver transactions on a daily basis. He then moved to Brunswick Warburg, a division of SBC Warburg, one of the largest banks in the world. Working in Russian Equities, he helped streamline the risky and inefficient operations of equities trading in the former communist state. In late 1998 he left Brunswick Warburg to work full time at Sirk Productions, the company he founded with Kristian Fraga in 1997. Since founding Sirk Productions Marc has produced dozens of projects from feature films to television commercials.

In 1998 he created the television program The Inside Reel. The show covers the film industry and features interviews with the most recognizable faces in the business from George Lucas to Brad Pitt. The show has played on the Zilo Television Network for over 9 seasons reaching millions of people. In 2001 Marc produced an award winning IR special documentary for PBS called The Inside Reel: Digital Filmmaking. Marilyn Moss of The Hollywood Reporter called it "a must see for anyone who loves movies." With over 3,000 interviews in our archive the show is still going strong on television and the internet.

In 2005 Marc executive produced the feature documentary, Anytown, USA. The film gives viewers a look into a local election in the small town of Bogota, New Jersey. With its quirky characters, dilapidated infrastructure and impassioned citizens, Bogota presents a stark contrast to the sterile, slick, professional campaigns at the state and national levels. It provides an uncompromising look at local politics, warts and all. The film played major film festivals around the country like the Atlanta Film Festival and Woodstock Film Festival. Anytown won 4 best documentary and director prizes in Minneapolis, Trenton, Staten Island and Long Island Film Festivals. The film was later picked up by Film Movement and played theatrically in 12 cities nationwide. The film was critically acclaimed across the board; Lisa Rose at The Star Ledger gave it 3.5 stars (out of 4) and said it had "more twists than an episode of Lost...its a nail biting drama." The film currently playing on television in The United Kingdom and Canada and is available online or in stores at Netflix, Amazon or Borders.

In addition to producing film and television projects Marc has also produced dozens of commercials and corporate videos for MySpace, GBX, Verizon, Starter and more. Marc's commercial work has garnered him 3 Telly Awards. Marc is also an accomplished graphic designer and editor, his work has been seen in projects for AMC, InHD, MTV and more. In 2007 Marc has tried his hand at directing some projects including a commercial spot for GemsTV and Schramm Sports' Ecuador vs. Ireland Soccer match.

Marc is a member of the Fort Lee Film Commission. The commission was created to preserve film made in Fort Lee and secure the towns historic role as the birthplace of the motion picture industry. In 2006 Marc and the Sirk team restored the original Robin Hood (1912) for the Commission.

Marc recently worked with acclaimed artist Martha Ruiz-Perilla to design a monument in Bergondo, Spain (in the Province of A Coruña, Galicia). The work was commissioned by the New York Association of Bergondo Immigrants, and sponsored by private investors and local government agencies and built by Feal, a local Galician artist. Conceptually the sculpture focuses on the historical events that surrounded the construction, deterioration and recovery of "A Senra", a Galician educational center, and the unceasing 70 years effort of a community and its immigrants to finalize the historical recovery of this valuable town landmark.
